The SME Mentoring Scheme (hereafter referred to as the Scheme) and the website are operated by The Rail Alliance (RA) on behalf of the Rail Supply Group (RSG). Hereafter ‘we’ shall be taken to mean the RA and the council members of the RSG.

Acceptance of Registration and Admission to Mentoring Programme

Once you have registered with and we have accepted your application, you will be issued a username and password to enter the online assessment stage of the Scheme. In order to participate in the scheme you warrant that you meet the definition of an SME given on this We may reject your registration if your company does not appear to qualify as an SME or does not appear to be suitable for the Scheme for any other reason. We may discontinue accepting any new registrations without notice but we aim to publish the expected closure date on this site.
We will endeavour to provide feedback to all companies undertaking the assessment but detailed correspondence will not be entered into. A target of approximately 10% of companies that complete the online assessment will be given a proposed schedule of improvement areas to bring them up to a balanced scorecard considered desirable for entrants into the entering the rail supply chain.
Our decision in respect of all matters to do with Acceptance of Registration and the selection for detailed feedback under the Scheme will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

We collect information about you and your organisation to process your registration application, manage your account and to assess your organisation’s eligibility and suitability to be offered mentoring under the Scheme. We may share the information with other organisations who may be engaged with delivery of the Scheme, but they will be bound to follow this policy.

We may also use this information to suggest other services we think may be of interest to you. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
